I had a mixed stay here; the location is super convenient, really close to public transport and iconic attractions, which is a major plus. However, the overall cleanliness and facilities were disappointing. While I found the rooms tiny but tidy, the bathrooms and showers could use a serious upgrade. It's budget-friendly but definitely not luxurious, and I wouldn't want to stay here again if I could avoid it.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms are quite small but clean enough. I had a single room that barely fit the bed and a small cabinet. It's definitely basic, and privacy is hit or miss due to thin walls.
Service
5.0
The reception staff were indifferent and didn't seem very attentive. I had a minor issue with a pillowcase, and the response was lackluster.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from several subway stations that connect to major sights in the city.

Facilities

Facilities left much to be desired; the bathrooms were often shared and not well-maintained, and I counted only a few showers for quite a few guests, which is not ideal.

My stay at this hotel was pretty rough. While the location in Chinatown near lots of restaurants is decent, the conditions of the rooms were unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are really desperate. The lack of cleanliness and awful service made this experience truly disappointing.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were tiny, cramped, and poorly maintained. Imagine a closet with a chicken wire ceiling connecting you to other rooms. Overall, a very uncomfortable space.
Service
5.0
The service was almost non-existent. The staff was rude and seemed completely uninterested in helping guests.

The hostel's location is its only redeeming quality; it's very central and easy to access. Unfortunately, the rooms were cramped and poorly maintained, with one bed feeling like a rock and the other overly soft. The overall cleanliness was a big letdown, especially the shared bathrooms. After a few sleepless nights due to noise and discomfort, I would definitely opt for a different place next time.
Rooms

The rooms were tiny with no windows, making them feel even more cramped. The air conditioning was loud and uncontrollable.
Service

There was little interaction with staff, and when I did, the language barrier made it difficult.

My experience at this hotel was overwhelmingly disappointing. The rooms were extremely cramped and filthy, resembling a space more fitting for a jail than a hotel. I had issues with cleanliness every day, and it left me feeling uneasy about my stay. While the price was low for New York standards, it certainly did not feel worth it due to the many serious cleanliness issues I encountered.
Rooms

This place is an attempt to offer affordable accommodation, but it feels like they've sacrificed a lot in the process. The rooms are cramped and lack basic sound insulation, making for a noisy and uncomfortable stay. However, the location in Chinatown is a plus if you don't mind the surroundings. You get what you pay for, and unfortunately, that isn't much.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms are tiny, more like prison cells, and have a lack of privacy with chicken wire ceilings. Not the most comfortable environment to sleep in.
Service
5.0
Service at the reception was minimal, lacking warmth and responsiveness when I asked for a clean pillowcase.
Location

The location in Chinatown is vibrant but not the safest area, which might be a concern for some travelers.

This hostel offers a no-frills stay at a low price in Chinatown. The room is basic but clean, making it suitable for short stays. However, the shared toilets are often unclean, and the noise from neighbors can be bothersome. Given the location and price, it may be worth considering if you have very limited expectations.
Rooms
6.0
The room was small but clean and had the essentials like a bed and a sink. However, it can be quite cramped for more than a night or two.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, particularly with luggage storage for a small fee.
Location

This place feels more like a hostel than a hotel, and while the price is low and the location is decent, the overall experience is subpar. The rooms are cramped and cleanliness is a major issue. The service is lacking, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for comfort or hygiene.

I had a rough stay at the hotel, which really felt more like a cheap hostel. The rooms were incredibly small and cramped, and I just can't ignore the creepy crawlies that seemed to invite themselves. On the upside, the location was decent, close to Chinatown and Little Italy, making it easy to explore the area. However, I wouldn’t recommend it due to the overall lack of cleanliness and comfort.
Rooms

This hotel experience was far from pleasant. The rooms were tiny and felt more like a prison cell than a hotel room, with absolutely no windows. The comfort of the bed was lacking as well, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. On the bright side, the Wi-Fi was fast, which was a saving grace during my stay. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you're only looking for the cheapest option.

I stayed at the Sun Bright Hotel, which is definitely a budget option. The location in Chinatown is the best feature, surrounded by plenty of dining options, but the rooms were an uncomfortable shock. The staff’s attitude could also use improvement, as they were not helpful. For a very low price, you’re getting what you pay for—barebones everything, which left much to be desired.
